Olympus Pen E-P5, Minolta MC Rokkor-PE 200mm F4.5
#VintageLensTest - Five frames with a Minolta MC Rokkor-PE 200mm F4.5, steady hands for steady shots.
Just couldn't resist testing the lens, seen with a slight fungal infection and a fair amount of dust within the elements when it came in through the mail recently. On the Olympus E-P5, the lens is the equivalent of a 400mm telephoto, the focal length ideal for many field-based sports such as soccer (football) and rugby, or the minimum for quality bird photography, which, at this range, the bird has to be quite close for you to fill up the image frame.
I had neither of the location options mentioned above, so the test was off my front porch at the tree of the garden fence and one from my own garden shrub, with the shots done handheld with the aperture wide open. The shots turned out to be surprisingly sharp with enough contrast to make the shoot a pleasing experience.
