Industar 50-2 50mm F3.5

'Five frames with the M42 Industar 50-2 50mm F3.5, an M42 variant of 50mm F3.5 lenses made by KMZ for their M39 mount rangefinders'

The Industar-50-2 was an M42 variant of the 50mm F3.5 lens made by KMZ which builds the lens mainly as Industar-50 M39 screw-mount standard lens for the Zorki rangefinder camera series. The series was first introduced n 1959 by KMZ. The lens, derived from Zeiss's Tessar 4-element lens, was nicknamed the 'Eagle's eye'. The brand name Industar was used for all similar 4-element/3-group lens constructions of the whole soviet photo-optical industry.

The brand name Industar was used for all similar 4-element/3-group lens constructions of the whole soviet photo-optical industry. Mounted on the E-P5 which I was using for the test, the lens is the equivalent of a 100mm F3.5 lens, good enough here for these close-ups in and around the front porch.
