Analog photography, a very substantive medium based on intentional shooting experiences, is gaining a heavy momentum of genuine renaissance of late. The appeal is particularly strong among photographers seeking tangible and authentic results through both artistic creativity and technological advances.

The resurgence is also acting as a deliberate choice to embrace the organic qualities of the film image — grain structure, soft color palettes, and dynamic range characteristics — that digital precision cannot often replicate.

The reestablishment of film's authenticity is also increasingly valued as tangible proof of a moment's existence, while advances in artificial intelligence make digital imagery subject to skepticism and other forms of inquisition.

The film manufacturing and camera manufacturers' landscape is also actively revitalizing itself. While established leaders like Kodak and Ilford have re-emerged in the field of film production, and emerging producers such as Lucky Films in China are out with innovative emulsions.

Camera manufacturers like Pentax and others are equally participating in the revival and production of new film camera models, signaling changes we will see in the near future.
