The camera, introduced by Olympus in 2013, has a built-in flash, an easy-to-use zoom and menu control, a dedicated one-touch video button, an ergonomic grip design, and Dual Image Stabilization.
Exposure modes include Program Auto, iAuto (Intelligent Auto), Beauty, Scene, Magic Filters, Panorama, with sub-set selections like Sunset, Fireworks, Cuisine, and more for Scenes; Pop Art, Pin Hole, Drawing, and more for Magic Filters.
The VR-370 also has Face Detection, which automatically adjusts the camera for ideal portrait exposure, and AF Tracking, which follows moving subjects to keep focus and exposure constantly adjusted for the shot.
Dual Image Stabilization combines Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization with high ISO sensitivity to compensate for image blurring due to camera shake.
Album Images
While the 16MP CCD sensor does well with crisp and sharp mid-tone images, the VR-370 has the advantage of its battery being charged while on board the camera, via a multi-use USB cable connected to a laptop, a saving in cost and resources for the traveller.
The VR-370 is a low-cost item on most auction sites and sales listings, easily available, and having it provides access to a fun and rewarding experience with your street, travel, portraits, family, and pet photography interests. The camera's dimension is approximately 104.3 x 60.2 x 28.3mm, and its body weight is 271 grams without batteries.
