Olympus E-P5, Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4
Cameras and Lenses: Sharp and vibrant images with a legacy Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4, a vintage manual telephoto lens from the era of classic mechanical film cameras, a 400mm full-frame equivalent on the Olympus Pen E-P5.

My second image test with the Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4, post-processed in color, very vibrant colors, if I may say so.

Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4, In Black and White

Olympus E-P5, Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4
Cameras and Lenses: Crisp and clear images with a legacy Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4, a vintage manual telephoto lens from the era of classic mechanical film cameras, a 400mm full-frame equivalent on the Olympus Pen E-P5.

The lens was a surprise find; I had no prior idea or knowledge about its presence or make. It came through the mail out of a job-lot sale. Big and bulky, the lens, it seems, is made by Sankor, is a pre-set with an M42 mount, weighs in at a hefty 670 grams, and has many blades which I have yet to count.

When it came, Lumax Gold Star 200mm f/4 was less than perfect, though; it has a few tufts of fungal sprawls within its inner elements, but surprisingly, it is virtually dust-free. An interesting bonus to me was the built-in tripod mount on a rotating ring, which makes it convenient for me to mount on the E-P5 via an M42 mount adapter.

Olympus Zuiko OM 200mm f/4, Tele Shots

Olympus E-P5, Zuiko OM 200mm f/4
Cameras and Lenses: Images with a vintage legacy Olympus OM Zuiko 200mm f/4, highly regarded in retro-lens communities as a 'pocket super telephoto' for its compact size, a 400mm full-frame equivalent on the Olympus Pen E-P5.

The Olympus Zuiko OM 200mm f/4, a classic telephoto lens from the film era that remains highly regarded among photographers today, is a lightweight and compact telephoto lens capable of delivering excellent image quality.

The lens is a straightforward construction with 5 elements in 4 groups, which contributes to the lens's compact dimensions, and features a built-in retractable lens hood that helps against backlit shooting situations.

Had the lens mounted via a Leinox OM-M4/3 lens adapter, which came with a separate tripod mount (usable with other Leinox adapters as well) that makes it easy and convenient to use the lens at its equivalent of a 400mm telephoto lens on a 35mm full-frame camera.
